5 Things i Cannot Live Without...

hi. Today i will mention the 5 things in my life that i cannot live without..

To start off,
1.My parents: I will admit, as a teenager I feel as if I could be happy with out being around my parents, but I know that is not true.  I need my mom to just talk to.  I don’t talk to her about everything, but all the things I can talk to her about, I do. She has the wise insight that I can’t get from my friends.  Plus, she is an amazing cook, so I would definitely miss her food. I am definitely not bored when I’m around my parents and I do need them to get through life more easily.

2.My friends:My friends are the people I turn to for fun. When I’m with them, though, I always am laughing and just doing random things that a person needs to do sometimes to break away from normal life and the everyday routine.

3.Good Food: In a time when everyone is thinking about romantic things and exploring their more sensitive side, I'd like to take some time to get up close and personal with some good tasty yummy food that make my mouth water.

4.My sense of humor: My friends and I are in agreement that, "If we weren't funny, we would have killed our selves years ago".

5.My Bike :It is what gets me through my day because I know it will be waiting for me in the parking lot at the end of the day. It has never let me down, except the time it decided to take some rest on a creepy extraterritorial road. Other than that, my bike  has been good to me, and I never had to buy it a chocolate.

Jungle Jungle pata chala hai...

“Jungle Jungle baat suni hain pata chala hain……”

Rudyard Kipling’s ‘Jungle Book’ created magic and is still doing so…. But what made him think about the story of a jungle boy and tigers…… ??? The Jungle where there are 55 Tigers present (Maharashtra + M.P combined), proving that the ecological life cycle is going on smoothly….. the clean , dense very well maintained wildlife reserve spread over 300 sq. km “PENCH National Park Tiger Reserve”…. Yes this very jungle inspired him to write the Mowgli’s world….. and aptly so.

Before going to Pench I was a bit reluctant… as to how would the things be… as it was my first ever Jungle Safari … but the group of 18 including active colleagues with enthusiastic kids and couples bought fun… Spotting tiger was like seeing God for them… and then I too realized why was it so…and the journey began…

08th December - Left Pune to Nagpur by Garib Rath( don't get misleaded by the name, it is a nice train) ......

09th December - Reached Nagpur..... and then left for the Silliguri Jungle Resort which was just outside the Pench national park.

We stayed at Silliguru resort which was truly beautiful and well managed. A small camp fire @ night made the nights lively.

10th December 1st Jungle safari Morning 5:30…. We were so excited when we saw a spotted beautiful golden deer near some tree… but as someone very rightly commented “ kantala yeil itki distil… :P" (you will see so many till you get bored!) and then we had to enter the interiors of the jungle....... we were all set to go and enter a totally new world. We were guests in their world. So had to behave accordingly, lest we meet the same fate Kaali from Kaal gave to the erring tourists.

[caption id="attachment_90" align="alignleft" width="300" caption="Kaali from Kaal"][/caption]

And the Gypsy ride began…… yes it was always on the wish list to have a gypsy ride…. But a open gypsy to spot animals was a surprise package altogether and boy was it exhilarating …. and then the journey began… flocks of Spotted deer’s everywhere...It was awesome… Peacocks, Sambar, Barasingha, Jackal, Byson and 'n' No. of beautiful rare birds including kingfisher, Indian roller, orange shark ( I cud only remember these many names :P)

…. and then in the evening safari @ 6pm… our gypsy was the first one to spot the tiger.. it was just awesome… she was just trying to cross the road in front of us. What an attitude !! the way she walks, care a damn approach …. and her style…. we were truly awestruck…. I had never imagined I could see a tiger in a such a manner except zoo….. awesome experience………..

[caption id="attachment_94" align="alignleft" width="300" caption="THE TIGER"][/caption]

there was another ride the next day..the same animals …. but everytime the pathways seemed different , mysterious, as if opening up the secrets of the jungle slowly… the forest was very well managed and different types of trees mostly Sal, others were crocodile trees adding beauty to the nature….

And the jungle trip ended on a very satisfied note……… spotting so many animals..... as we had entered the jungle with zero expectations..... 100% satisfying and worth watching experience….. we were so used to spot the animals in the 4 rides… that after leaving Nagpur and travelling back to the station.. even after seeing buffalo one shouted “ Hey guys, a Byson…..look at it “ :P

All in all it was a fun filled trip and we all enjoyed a lot!!!!!

Will the World Really End on December 21, 2012?

World Ending theories:

In 2012, the world shall witness a fight to finish between Christianity and Islamic Dharma... 1200 million people are expected to perish! A full-scale nuclear war... the third world war shall announce the end of the present era!

The massive nuclear explosions would cause a slight tilt in the rotation of Mother Earth. Unbearable global warming, melting of icecaps, massive floods, earthquakes, sea waters rising by 10 to 12 feet, waves as high as 1000 feet would be witnessed all over! Nothing would result on its own... all is the result of mass karma practiced by 6500 million people existing on Mother Earth!

December 21st, 2012 has been part of not only the Mayan calender, but also the Tibetin, Egyptian, and Chinese calendars. This is not a doomsday theory, but a reality caused by a natural cyclic event that we just happen to be living through. The natural frequency of the earth is increasing steadily and has been for the last 2000 years, (50% higher then it was 1500 years ago). Why? This is something I nor anyone else will be able to explain. Some things just are not meant to be understood, they just are. It has already been noted within the scientific and shamanistic communities that the earth's magnetic energy is rapidly dropping and will reach a magnetic 0 on or around December 21st, 2012. This is also included in the mentioned calenders. With the decrease in magnetic energy, we find the life force energy increasing, this is only natural as a balance will automatically re-establish itself. As we get closer to December 2012, a series of spontaneous awakenings and leaps in consciousness will take place in the human realm of awareness.

I have been so enthralled with the concept of this date and the more I research it the more I find that there are so many things tied to this date. You have the Earth's alignment with the galactic equator, which no one knows for sure if it will have an impact. 2012 is the next solar flare cycle which poses the potential to mess with our magnetic field and satellites to name a very few. Just recently stories are emerging about the tremendous numbers of vanishing honey bees. Billions upon billions of bees, reduced anywhere from 40-80% in certain parts of the US and Europe. These bees are vital to the pollination of our crops. How does this tie to 2012? Albert Einstein was once quoted as saying, "If the bee disappeared off the surface of the globe, then man would only have 4 years of life left." Look it up. I couldn't believe it when I read it. At the rate they're disappearing, should they vanish in 2008, 4 year would be...you guessed it master mathematician, 2012. These are but a small handful of the scenarios that we are faced with in addition to the many listed above. If you believe in the Book of Revelation, the signs of the end times are more prevalent now than ever before. As we approach the thousand year age of Aquarius, this falls right in line with the tribulation and the good vs. evil battle that will end with...a thousand years of peace. If one theory fails there are several backing them up. I truly believe we are in the midst of the end of the world "AS WE KNOW IT," which isn't to say we are doomed to annihilation.

I too had a tremendous fear of this date and it began to eat away at me. In some regards it is still very unnerving not knowing what's ahead. The fact is, what will happen will happen. Live your best, do what's right, and in the end, right should come to you.

The (LOST) DAN BROWN Template

The-Lost-SymbolJust finished reading 'THE LOST SYMBOL" last night, one of the most awaited books from one of my favorite authors- DAN BROWN.

Although expectations were sky high with this one, esp. after Angels & Demons (my fav of the lot) and Da Vinci code, this book does not fulfill my expectations.

After so many surprises in his previous books, the reader gets so accustomed to the surprises, that surprises become obvious, which i think in case of Lost Symbol has encouraged such an average response.

Also, after building up super suspense and with all that hush hush about lost word, ancient mysteries etc. etc..........finally just reveals its JUST the XXXX.(Sorry,No spoilers here!)

Now, what does Dan brown have for us here?
Having read all of Brown's earlier works ,now, if i may say , the STANDARD DAN BROWN TEMPLATE goes something like this:

The stereotypical Dan Brown Template-

All this happening in a day's time...

‘Random’ologist summoned by (Dr/Father) XYZ to embark on mission to save (Earth/Religion/God) from ‘till recently dormant’ enemies….

An impossibly ‘Brainy Beauty’ enters scene….

Random + Brainy Beauty set off for wild adrenalin filled goose chase ….

While on the run Solve a couple of puzzles that baffled men for centuries ...

A hidden treasure/secret that no one will find..

A weirdo assasin communicating with Random.....

Secret rituals combined with a new scientific technology...

Get betrayed by XYZ….

Enter a "i am always strict and maintain a ginger eaten face" officer

Sudden flashes of seminars while running for life...

Miraculously escape…..

Random n Brain Beauty make out…..

and Dan Brown lives happily ever after on royalties received from the next Tom Hanks dud.

Having said all this, i m still a DB fan and hope that DB trusts us, his avid fans, who will not ditch him IF he writes a novel, which, just for sake of argument, does NOT hold at stake USA's national security,or so to say end of the world !!

Farewell Yoshito Usui : Creator of SHIN CHAN

shin-chanThis post is to pay tributes to the Japanese Cartoonist Yoshito Usui whose death (Sep 30 2009) has left many mourning. The announcement of his passing came following confirmation that the bruised body of a man found on a mountain was that of the creator of the popular Crayon Shin-chan manga and anime series.

Usui made his debut as a manga author in 1987 and sprang to prominence in the 1990s with Crayon Shin-chan, which features the daily life of Shinnosuke, a mischievous five-year-old boy. The series ran regularly in a magazine and was later made into a book and anime.

The manga, which has sold 50 million copies in Japan alone, has been translated in 14 countries, while the anime has been aired in 30 countries.

Shinnosuke (SHIN-CHAN) embarrasses his parents and kindergarten teachers as he often pulls down his trousers and shakes his hips while cracking indecent jokes.

Yoshito Usui will always be remebered for giving us our favorite character Shin-chan.The hearts of all his fans go out to his grieving family.

"Hello..It's kshitija calling.."

The day had a very lazy start, was outta bed around 11 in the morning but was quite lazy to go hunting for grub.. made a couple of futile attempts but on each occasion my relatively high inertia persuaded me to stay indoors... so I jus decided to stay in my room till 12.30 and then head to college for lunch.(free food from dabbas ''u know..)

Was tryin to browse the net on my lappy in  my room while cursing myself for choosing bsnl net connection( connection drop frequecny:- 87 %)  when my cell rang.. was a bit surprised that somebody was tryin to reach me on my private mobile and not my  general mobile.. it was even more stranger cuz the only people who reached me this way were the close ones in college and most of those had packed off for their homes the night before, following the end of the trimester 3 exams and were heading for Summers.. a bit confused I answered the call.. a very strange voice on the other end quipped "Hi Avi, How are you doing?". Me still confused replied, "I'm doing good, who's this?" and it did sound a bit strange when I heard "It's Kshitija calling from Delhi!". Why would somebody who's never called me from Pune now call me from Delhi!!

I've never been gud at recognizing voices on the phone and it gets even worse when I'm speaking to a person for the first time, but kshitu's voice on the phone was a bit of a turn off to say the least. I said to myself 'How could somebody who sounds so good in person have such a squeaky voice on the fone!' Nevertheless, she said that she was getting bored in the new place and just decided to gimme a buzz and was about to hang up asking me to call her later. Just then I realised I didnt have a number to call her on and asked for her if this was her mobile no, but she was a bit zapped at this request and did sound a bit 'off-guard' and hung up sayin 'Nope..this is not my number..I dont remember my number, maybe you could get it from Suhas!'

I got back to my lappy, thinking it really was a bit strange for someone who remembers my mobile number to not remember her own mobile number! About 15 mins later my 'not-so-perfect' afternoon was disturbed yet again and this time it was somebody knocking at my door. As soon as I opened the door I got the answer to why kshitu's voice sounded the way it did and why she did not remember her own mobile number.. the answer was all of 5 feet 5 inches tall standing at my door - Siddhu. As soon as I saw him, I knew beyond a touch of doubt that it was he who'd tried to pull a fast one on me. But he continued with his all-too-innocent look pretending to be absolutely clueless about what I was talking, but after a few mins he did confess the call he'd made from his new cell number and we both exploded into peals of laughter.

By then it was around 12.30 and the two of us headed out for college and as we were approaching the parking lot, I thanked God that it was siddhu and not kshitu who was sounding so squeaky on the fone... and coincidentally as I type this I get a call from kshitu and this time it really is from Delhi and after having spoken to her on the phone for the first time, I am quite relieved to say that she not only sounds gud in person but also really does sound just as gud on the phone as well :-)
